I have always believed that there is someone for everyone. For a moment in life I believed that maybe that someone would never arrive but I must say that God’s timing is perfect. My Prince Charming arrived... When I think about Ivan I can’t help it but smile from the heart. He brings happiness, life and love to my heart and soul. Ivan is a person full of wonderful characteristics. He loves and cares for his family. He is thoughtful, sweet and romantic...he remembers the small details I don’t even remember sharing with him. He makes me laugh and has the ability to make me forget whatever might be bothering me. Ivan is smart, inquisitive and a little mischievous which can be the perfect combination. He is organized and meticulous and even though it might make me crazy at times...I love that about him. Have I mentioned he is a gentleman?! Or that he understands me before I understand myself?! The list goes on and on but what I can say is that I am truly blessed to have him in my life...he makes everything have sense. He is my other half, my Prince Charming and the one that makes me a better person....he is who I was waiting for.

Hace un buen tiempo atrás que al verla me arrancaba una sonrisa y creo que yo a ella también; nos tomó un buen tiempo decidir que queríamos sonreir más seguido. Ya la conocía y sabía de ella era una gran persona pero cuando me dio oportunidad de acercarme a ella, de estar cerca de su familia me di cuenta que lo que yo lo sabía de ella no se comparaba con lo maravillosa que ella es; me encanta la manera que ha ganado el respeto de su familia, el cariño que todos le tienen y la admiración por lo que ha logrado. Es una soñadora como yo, así que nos entendemos y con eso me mantiene . El hecho de tenerla a mi lado me provoca una sensación muy grande que parece que no hay imposibles. Cada que me reflejo en su mirada entiendo el por qué me he enamorado de ella; su delicadeza, su valentía, su inteligencia, su vanidad, su bondad, su fortaleza, lo amorosa que es y al alejarme un poco me deslumbra con su bella sonrisa y me deja ver la hermosa mujer que es. He decidido que ella esté en mi vida por que sé que a su lado podré completar mis sueños; una vida enamorado, una bella y unida familia. Ella es la mujer que he soñado para compartir mi vida.

M: Such a memorable day. Weeks before the day of the proposal was to take place, Ivan somehow organized a photo session thru his future fiancee. Photographer, colors, day, time, etc were set for a small photo session. He knew a secret that he wouldn’t share until the day came. It was the day after Martina’s birthday, a Saturday, with things starting a little slow and a few things from the original plan changed.

Before continuing with the story, it must be said that it took months of planning and taking notes. Ivan has his ways of asking questions or starting topics to gather the answers he is looking for without making it obvious. He had asked Martina all types of questions throughout those months until he had all the details he needed. She told him how the idea of the man asking the parents of the girlfriend (of course she couldn’t know then it wouldn’t be a surprise!) for their permission and blessing to wed their daughter was the sweetest thing any man could do for the woman he loved. I also told him her dilemma with the engagement ring (she loves rings and that is why of her dilemma), I told Ivan how I thought the proposal should be a surprise and how the ring should also be a surprise.
